New River Community College will close at noon November 27 and will be closed November 28 & 29. Will reopen on Monday December 2 at 8:00am.
Faculty and staff are not required to show a picture I.D. when checking out library materials. If the Library staff member or workstudy at the desk is unfamiliar with you, they may ask for your name and/or job position. If you are not in our circulation system, you will be asked to complete an application card so that you can be added to our patron database.
Faculty may access library databases from off-campus using any computer with Internet access. In order to access library databases, you will need to log in to using your VCCS (Virginia Community College System) User ID and Password. This is the same user ID and password used to access Canvas and email. You may access databases directly from the library website or with the library database links on the main page of Canvas. Select the database that you wish to search. You will be prompted for a User ID/customer ID and a Password.
If you experience problems logging into the system, check the following:
For questions regarding databases, please contact the library at (540) 674-3627 or email us at LibraryHelp@1010an.com.
